Precision and Freeform Optics held at WZW OPTIC AG on March 7-8, in Balgach, Switzerland.

LAMpAS was actively present at the EPIC – European Photonics Industry Consortium Meeting on Precision and Freeform Optics held at WZW OPTIC AG on 7-8 March, in Balgach, Switzerland. The project partner Technische Universität Dresden gave a presentation on ‘Direct Laser Interference Patterning: how to make high precision surface structures with high precision optics?’ The meeting brought together the value chain of the manufacturing and measurement of customized and freeform optics, integrating multiple technologies including design, machining, metrology, and evaluation. Users and manufacturing perspectives were discussed, comparing the current state of the art with future market trends. There were many networking opportunities and interesting discussions. LAMpAS had great visibility by sponsoring also the event.
